Yarn, Crochet Hook, and Material Research
After conducting material research on various yarn types, I discovered that the 100% Acrylic commonly used by the standard can cause skin irritation, is not durable, and cannot be washed. Instead, I found that polyester material lasts longer, is washable, and must be soft enough for users to hug and safe for all skin types.
Yarn
I conducted a test on various yarn types and determined that 100% polyester was the ideal choice for making the fruity pillow. However, when I used Bernat Blanket yarn, I was not satisfied with the final product's appearance and quality.
Hook
I tested various materials and hook sizes for my project, including aluminum, plastic, stainless steel, and acrylic. Since the yarn instructions did not align with my product, I had to improvise. Despite not finding a suitable option for my project, I discovered a new market for crochet hooks. Eventually, I settled on using an acrylic hook with a size J/4 (6.00 mm) which provided a smooth finish.
Filling
Although multiple brands offer the same product, the quality of a particular brand can increase the product's value and enhance its visual appeal. I went with the brand Poly-Fil which is made from recycle materials.

Testing and Creating the product
Through a lot of trial and error, I manage to create a pattern to create a fruit crochet product which can be use later through manufacture to mass produce. I choose the thick and soft yarn specifically due to its fictionally and producing it would be quicker.
Final Product
The final product create the brightness and welcoming to the environments of the home and room. This is perfect for an accent to hep the room feels more decorated. I believe this is perfect for everyone who loves colors and wants something fun!
